Company context
The company is a major player in the design and manufacture of polyester film, PET, a high-performance material used across numerous market segments. The company’s products are applied in a wide range of applications such as adhesive bonding, printed electronics, textile transfer, labels, and graphic arts.
The core business of our client is the application of chemical products onto the surface of polyester films, a process known as coating.
Filtration challenge
During an initial consultation, we supplied AMAZON FILTERS VisClear cartridges featuring a one-piece monobloc core for the filtration of a viscous fluid, with the constraint of increasing pressure during the fouling phase.
Using numerous hazardous solvents, operators were required to take significant precautions when changing the filter media. In addition, and in order to avoid cross-contamination, operators consumed a substantial volume of solvents for rinsing the filter housings.
The objective of this new consultation was therefore to optimise working ergonomics, while maintaining the same filtration performance.
Pemflow filtration challenge
To facilitate handling by maintenance technicians, limit solvent vapours, and minimise cleaning of the filter housings, we proposed the AMAZON FILTERS contained system: SupaClean.
Le système SupaClean se compose de nos cartouches conventionnelles confinées dans deux poches Polyéthylène antistatique. Ainsi, les cartouches et les fluides sont contenus à lInside a 316 stainless steel filter housing, which constitutes the pressure vessel required for the filtration process. The product and the filters are therefore isolated.

The cartridges contained in our client’s SupaClean system are strictly identical to those previously tested and validated in traditional filter housings.
With the objective of providing optimal workstation ergonomics, the filter housings were mounted on mobile skids with three inclination positions to facilitate handling and replacement of the filter packs.
AMAZON FILTERS SupaClean systems are particularly well suited where cross-contamination is a major concern and/or the presence of hazardous substances may pose a risk to operators and the environment.
