Filtration issue
The existing filtration system proved ineffective due to premature clogging of the filtration strainer. The project manager contacted us to replace the existing filtration system, on the condition that the filter housing fit within a maximum height of 830 mm. The fluid to be filtered was water contaminated with rubber residues.
Pemflow’s filtration solution
The selected solution was intended to be deployed across the entire machine fleet. Therefore, an initial testing phase was carried out. This approach made it possible to:
- Validate the effectiveness of the process (media type);
- Optimize filtration parameters (pore size, pressure, flow rate, etc.);
- Guarantee system performance;
- Adapt to installation constraints (maximum height of 830 mm);
- Confirm that the solution is applicable across the entire fleet.
Ultimately, we validated a stainless steel 316L bag filter (wetted parts), fitted with an 800 µm monofilament filter bag, size 1 (Diameter 180 mm / Height 430 mm) with a molded polypropylene collar.
The installed filter has the distinctive feature of being adapted to the customer’s specific requirements.
Instead of a straight outlet on the filter housing (standard supply), a bottom outlet elbow positioned opposite the inlet allows easy installation within the existing machine layout.
