Our customer is a group founded in the Auvergne region, whose main activity is the exploitation of natural spring water sources. The company carries out the cleaning, bottling, and storage of spring water containers used to supply refrigerated water coolers.
Over time, the company has grown to now operate four production sites. With full control over its tools and resources, the group fosters proximity by promoting short supply chains, supported by its nationwide presence and the use of regional waters.
Filtration challenge
Our customer, already working with several suppliers, issued a “filtration” tender following our approach.
The objective was to survey the market in order to improve filtration processes, while reducing purchasing and operating costs across the four production sites.
The tender outlined several requirements for the different filtration stages upstream of packaging into 3- and 5-gallon containers.
Pemflow filtration solution
Our first step was to carry out an installation audit in order to standardize the supply of liquid filter cartridges and reduce purchasing costs. This audit enabled us to reduce the range to only three liquid filter cartridge references for the various filtration processes.
The first reference is a Nominal Depth filter cartridge, SupaGard type from AMAZON FILTERS, for the “finishing” demanganization and iron removal process.

The second reference is a Large Diameter Depth filter cartridge, CONTOUR type from AMAZON FILTERS, installed on the “finishing” iron removal process.

Designed to operate in high-flow applications, its high-capacity, high-flow, low pressure drop media is the ideal solution for use in water treatment processes.
The final reference is an Absolute Depth Pleated filter cartridge, SupaPleat type from AMAZON FILTERS, required for three processes:
- Filtration upstream of the draw-off tank (1 µm absolute / 30’’)
- Municipal water prefiltration upstream of UV (20 µm absolute / 30’’)
And municipal water post-filtration downstream of UV (retention of quartz particles in the event of UV lamp breakage) – 20 µm absolute / 30’’

Tous les composants sont soudés ce qui évite la présence d’adhésifs et d’extractibles, et optimise l’intégrité de la cartouche filtrante. Le média polypropylène présente des capacités CRY Cryptosporidium, spécifiques aux applications agroalimentaires.

Efficacité absolue : Le terme « absolue » est utilisé pour définir un élément filtrant dont l’efficacité de filtration au seuil annoncé est supérieure à 99,98%.
Ayant remporté cet appel d’offre, nous avons fourni les cartouches de filtration pour l’ensemble des process de 2017 à 2019. Notre client, satisfait des produits et services de pemflow, a reconduit ces approvisionnements pour 2020 & 2021.
De plus, notre client nous a consulté dans sa recherche de cartouches de filtration 30’’, code 7, pour un seuil de 0,45 µm absolu, en polypropylène ; résistant au contact prolongé avec un désinfectant chaque nuit.
Considérant que le secteur agroalimentaire se doit de protéger les consommateurs, nous avons proposé des cartouches de type SupaPleat CRY d’AMAZON FILTERS. Ce média polypropylène présente l’avantage d’être en conformité avec la rétention du Cryptosporidium. Ce grade CRY offre une réduction de [10puissance4] log pour les applications agroalimentaires.
Ces cartouches sont également compatibles avec de nombreux modes de sanitisation dont les agents chimiques, utilisés par notre client chaque nuit.
