Company context
The company, which develops and manufactures equipment solutions for robotic systems, uses a filtration device at the robot level to filter the incoming water that cools the cable system, ensuring a constant temperature. This is primarily safety filtration.
Filtration challenge
The end customer, from the automotive sector, considered the existing system unsatisfactory, primarily because the filter replacement stage caused twisting of the pipework. The issue stemmed from the use of a “two-piece” housing, consisting of a threaded moulded head onto which the bowl was screwed. This filter housing could not be dismantled without pressing on and deforming the pipes.
Pemflow filtration solution
To address this issue, we recommended replacing the existing housing with a three-piece design consisting of a head, bowl and locking ring. This solution helps reduce the risk of twisting. We therefore provided the customer with a three-piece housing free of charge and within one week for installation on the robot.

Following the supply of the three-piece housing, the company built a prototype robot which was approved by the end customer: filtration costs were reduced and the risk of twisting significantly lowered, avoiding potential breakage or leakage issues. The customer therefore approved the modifications we implemented, which improve filtration quality while maintaining a simple and effective filtration system.
